Based upon actual events in New York City in the late 1980s and set in present day Athens, “The Waiter” is a character study. It’s an existential twisted thriller and murder story that is told from the point of view of Renos. He is a professional waiter who leads a simple and quiet life – a loner and a meticulous observer who unwittingly gets entangled in the mysterious disappearance of his neighbour Milan. “The Blond” and Tzina are two shady characters who were entangled with Milan and are about to take Renos on an extreme ride that will challenge his sacred day-to-day routine and test his ability and willingness to change his life over matters of love and death. Relationships will develop, secrets will be shared and trust will be challenged. Will Renos be able to follow through?
