Guido would like to become a real avant-garde artist but he feels trapped in an overly conservative and intrusive family; his wife Serena is not particularly fond of art and their children reluctantly witness the complicated, yet passionate relationship between their parents. Guido’s family will try to reunite themselves by recalling those “happy years,” but they will end up caught in a web with no way to escape.
